The Pleasantville volleyball team began the 2022 season Tuesday night at Class 3A’s #2 ranked Des Moines Christian, and were swept in three sets 25-12, 25-17, 25-16. 

Junior Danika Park led the Trojans offensive attack in the loss with six kills. Pleasantville’s lone senior Olivia Anthony had a team high seven assists, junior Leah Adreon recorded two aces in the match, and sophomore Emily Roe tallied a team high 13 digs defensively.

With the loss, Pleasantville opens the season 0-1 overall and in the West Central Conference. The Trojans will look to even that mark on Thursday when they host Interstate-35 at 5:00 p.m.
