It was a rough start to the 2022 football season for the Pleasantville Trojans as they fell 32-7 on the road at Lynnville-Sully Friday night, in a game heard live on the KNIA3 stream.
After a scoreless first quarter for both teams, Lynnville-Sully took control of the game early in the second quarter on some Trojans’ miscues and never looked back. The Hawks bolted out to a 20-0 advantage in the second quarter, due in large part to two blocked punts and an interception. Pleasantville opened the second half with their best drive of the night, as Dillon Ammons capped off just over a five-minute drive with a two-yard touchdown run. The Hawks would add a pair of rushing touchdowns to finish off the 32-7 loss for Pleasantville.
The Trojans fell to 0-1 to start the season and will hope to turn things around in week two, as they open the doors of the new Pleasantville Stadium against Interstate-35.
