The Knoxville Cancer Relay team is eager to launch its Sept. 15-16 event to raise money to fight cancer. The ninth annual event begins at 7 p.m. Sept. 15 at Ken Locke Stadium and culminates 24 hours later as the team delivers the ball for Knoxville High’s football game vs. Fairfield.
The relay, in which community members and a core team of runners trot through Knoxville has raised $165,000 in eight years, including a best-ever $25,353 in 2021.
