As part of the Knights of Columbus Campaign for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities, a telethon is coming back to support the organizations benefiting from the drive.
Joe Lickteig has organized the event for several years, and says this year’s originally scheduled telethon will change venue due to air conditioning issues at Pella High School, and will instead be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Several interviews will still be held with members of the Pella Community and Pella Christian Schools, as well as from Christian Opportunity Center, 818 Forward with Faith, and Wonder Spelen. Performers will include a variety as well on Wednesday, August 31st from 1 to 8 p.m. The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio will be back at the Knights of Columbus fundraiser.
The Pella Knights of Columbus will once again be collecting donations in front of the Pella Hy-Vee, Walmart, and Fareway through this Saturday. Additionally, Lickteig says they are once again accepting online donations and those through Venmo @PellaKofC12334, and checks written to the Knights of Columbus and mailed to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
