Norwalk’s boys golf team, girls and boys cross country, volleyball and girls swimmers will all be competing on Thursday, September 1.

The Legacy Golf Club in Norwalk will be the site for today’s Waukee Northwest Boys Golf Invitational. The 10-team tournament will tee off at 10:00 a.m.

The Warrior cross country squads will be running in the 16-team Ames Invitational at 4:00 p.m. The meet is being held on the Iowa State University Cross Country Course. Norwalk’s boys maintain the No. 3 spot in this week’s Iowa Association of Track Coaches’ Class 4A team rankings. Individually, Warrior senior Donovan Card is ranked ninth and Jack Brown is 21st.

The Norwalk volleyball team will be in Adel for today’s ADM Invitational at 4:30 p.m. The Warriors will face Gilbert, Nevada, Woodward-Granger, Atlantic and ADM in best-of-three matches, looking to improve on their 4-1 overall record.

Norwalk’s girls swimmers will also be in action today, competing as members of the Des Moines Lincoln team in a 5:30 p.m. home meet against Des Moines East.
