Brenda Dunkin is the Knoxville and Pleasantville Schools Transportation Director. Dunkin says there are a lot of rules regarding safety on and off the buses.

Dunkin told KNIA/KRLS News what school bus riders need to be aware of, “Most importantly they need to sit down. Sometimes I know they have to go three to a seat just for the town stops with extra students on the bus. The idea is to keep everybody safe.”

She said the other key factor is for those on the bus to use an inside voice after boarding the bus to help with any communication that needs to take place.
