The NCMP Aquagirls won the Grinnell Invite last week, defeating Indianola, Grinnell, and Vinton-Shellsburg, starting the season with a 7-0 record.
Pella swimmer Maylei Ruggles placed 2nd in the 50 yard freestyle (26.47 seconds), 4th on the 500 yard freestyle (6:26.45), and on the 2nd place 200 yard medley relay (28.52 leg of 1:59.89 total) and 400 yard freestyle relay (58.73 leg of 3:58.38 total).
Evelyn Munk was 5th in the girls 200 yard freestyle (2:17.83) and on the 3rd place varsity 200 yard freestyle relay (28.23 leg of 1:50.52) and championship 400 yard freestyle JV relay (1:03.15 leg of 4:18.19).
Ellie Wogen placed 2nd in the 100 yard JV breaststroke race (1:33.57) and won the JV individual 200 medley relay (2:52.43), as well as on the 2nd place JV 200 yard medley relay team (42.7 leg of 2:26.05 total).
Emily Vander Molen placed 1st in the 100 yard backstroke JV race (1:16.42) and was on the winning JV 400 yard freestyle relay (1:05.18 leg of 4:18.19).
