Because of the Labor Day holiday, the Knoxville City Council will meet Tuesday evening. The council will hear a presentation on a Parks and Rec Master Plan, consider naming a future park in the Veteran’s District “Veterans Park,” and consider a proposal to place statues of historic sprint car drivers around the Knoxville square.
They will also consider a Tax Increment Financing District for the proposed Ridge Development project located on the south side of Bell Avenue west of Highway 14. The proposed development would include building a race car repair shop, a storage/office building and a dentist office.
They will also consider administrative plans relating to grants and grant requirements, among other matters. The meeting will begin Tuesday at 6:15 at City Hall.
