A group of Pleasantville citizens is working to save the old East Elementary School. Susan Tinder, who is with Friends of East Elementary School in Pleasantville, tells KNIA/KRLS News that on September 24 a community meeting will be held to inform Pleasantville residents what the group is proposing to do for the school and playground.

Tinder tells KNIA/KRLS News about the event. “On September 24, there will be an awareness for the community of both the building as a fundraiser and the playground. The event is to bring awareness to what we are doing and what is the next step. People keep asking how is the school going. So, that will be a day we can share information with the community.”

There will also be food served.
