Central College had 10 athletics programs in action on Saturday.

The Dutch women’s triathlon team was second at the Rhoads McKee Reeds Lake Triathlon in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Central football outlasted the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in the rain Saturday for a 31-13 win. The Dutch volleyball team went 1-1 at the St. Catherine Invitational, defeating the hosts in five sets before being swept 3-0 by the University of Wisconsin – Stout. Central’s women’s cross country team secured its second consecutive victory in the Les Duke Invitational field behind Caroline McMartin’s race winning effort, while the men’s cross country team came in second at the same event. A couple of second-half goals by Grinnell College handed Central men’s soccer a 2-0 loss on the road, and the Dutch women’s soccer team fell to St. Catherine University (Minn.) 4-1. The Central men’s golf team came in fifth-place finish at the 20-team Carthage (Wis.) Fall Classic, while the Dutch women’s golf team finished the first round of the Wartburg Fall Invitational in ninth place.
