The Indianola City Council approved the issuance of bond funds for improvements to the Indianola industrial park area at their most recent meeting, continuing a process of expansion of that area. City Manager Ben Reeves tells KNIA News the city is making an investment in attracting more business to the area.

“Investing in ourself is really exciting. We are basically trying to expand our industrial park, and this allows us to put in the infrastructure necessary to see more businesses go in and create more jobs in the area. We are working with our industrial partners to be able to help fund that project overall. It’s good to see the good financial position the city is in overall, we were able to maintain our AA credit rating with Moody’s, and that shows that we are fiscally responsible. By investing in our infrastructure we can see more jobs and greater growth in the residential and commercial base.”
