Central College’s Mat Kelly, professor of art and chair of the Department of Visual and Performing Arts, was selected to display his drawings, prints and handmade books at the Jordan House Museum in West Des Moines until Friday, Sept. 30.
Timeless is a pop-up exhibition featuring objects in the West Des Moines Historical Society collection in conversation with contemporary artwork by artists whose subject matter or techniques were prevalent during the time period in which the Jordan House was built.
Jordan House tours are offered 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Fridays and Sundays. Tours will require a ticket purchase in advance, costing $5 per person.
Kelly is one of the artists represented by the Olson-Larsen Gallery, which arranged this exhibit. The gallery will donate 10% of sales to the West Des Moines Historical Society.
