While enrollment won’t be certified until October 1st, initial counts were presented to the Pella School Board at their meeting this week. Superintendent Greg Ebeling says they had 53 new students in their hallways compared to 2021-22, showing continued signs of growth they were anticipating when they presented the bond issue to voters last November. Ebeling says the final count will be finalized at the end of this month, and that number will look different due to dual enrolled and open enrolled students counting differently toward their per pupil funding amount for the upcoming fiscal year.
