The 12th Annual Nana Jana 5k Fun Run is tomorrow. Registration will be at 8 a.m. with the race starting at 9 a.m. The run will be held at organizer Dan Dennison’s farm located 5 miles south of Knoxville off Highway 14.

Dennison tells KNIA KRLS News the event is all about raising awareness about ovarian cancer. His wife passed away with ovarian cancer in 2010. 

He describes the route, “It runs all through the farm where I live. It might be in the timber, might be in the creek, might be through beans, or corn, hay, occasionally a cow.”

Funds from the event will go to the Ovarian Cancer Coalition for education and research. Trophies will be awarded for the top finishers in the Fun Run. To register call Dan Dennison at 641-842-2829.
