Marion County Engineer Tyler Christian will be submitting a funding proposal to the Marion County Board of Supervisor’s for a project that has been on-going for about 20 years now.

The proposal will be for what is known as the Junction 92 Shop. If approved it would essentially be four shops moved into one. The four shops to be combined would be the Pella Shop, Clay Township, the Engineer’s Office and the Mechanic Shop.

Christian says, “There have been some comments made or discussion about what we call our Junction 92 Shop and to be completely honest, this is a project that has been on-going with the road department for nearly 20 years now. The site out at the junction of old Highway 92 and new Highway 92, that 20 acre site was purchased in 2004.”

Christian is hopeful some solutions can be found to make the new shop a reality.
