The 12th Annual Nana Jana Run was held Saturday. Despite rain throughout the event, the race went on. At times the rain was heavy, but runners of all ages persevered and made it back to the finish line. The contestants were all soaking wet and muddy.

Dan Dennison event organizer says, “Really our goal is to raise awareness. Ovarian Cancer is called the Silent Killer because so many women have it advanced before they ever know it, because there aren’t a lot of signs.”

Dan and his family are already looking ahead to the 13th annual Nana Jana Race next year. The race is named after Dan’s wife who passed away with Ovarian Cancer.

The KNIA Little Big Red Radio was on hand to provide music for those in attendance.
