Indianola Parks and Rec is hosting the next installment of their Afternoon Adventures Speaker Series in October, reviewing the life and adventures of the most notorious crime couple in American history, Bonnie and Clyde. Kathy Kester with Indianola Parks and Rec tells KNIA News retired teacher and historian Rod Stanly will share the story about Bonnie and Clyde’s trip to Dexfield Park just north of Dexter, and the shootout that occurred there in July of 1933. The program is sponsored by Community 1st Credit Union, and will be held on October 11th at 2pm at the Indianola Activity Center with all invited.
