A local organization dedicated to historic preservation is holding its annual meeting today. The Pella Preservation Trust is gathering at the Pella Opera House. Director of the Organization Jennifer Van Kooten says a special presentation will be given by Preservationist Bobby Green, proprietor of 1933 Group. Doors open at 5:00 for refreshments and membership sign up, with donations accepted to help protect Pella’s historic properties, and the program starting at 6 p.m. She says the Pella Preservation Trust has the goal to remain the same organization that began 28 years ago, but changed its name from Historic Pella Trust to avoid confusion with other local historic organizations.
