pleasantville-3

The Pleasantville volleyball and cross country teams both hit the road tonight. The Trojans volleyball squad heads to Madrid, while the cross country teams will run in the EBF Invitational.

The volleyball team is coming off of a 3-4 week, that began by splitting a triangular at Southeast Warren with the hosts and Wayne and ended with a 2-3 day at the North Mahaska Invitational on Saturday. Meanwhile in Eddyville, the Pleasantville cross country teams will be in action for the first time since hosting their own invitational last Monday. In their last action, the Trojans’ girls squad came in 8th place while the boys team came in 11th. Pleasantville will see five of the same teams from last week’s meet including Lynnville-Sully, Southeast Warren, and Clarke, as well as a few teams they haven’t run against yet such as Albia and East Marshall.

The cross country teams kick off all the sports action tonight for Pleasantville at 5 p.m. at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont High School, with volleyball then ending the night with their match at Madrid High School at 7:15 p.m.
