In August, the City of Knoxville held an information session and tour of the Dixie Gebhardt House.

The session was for any individuals or organizations who were interested in acquiring, rehabilitating and operating the building as a historic property to submit a formal proposal to the city.

Knoxville Economic Development Director Glenn Lyons says two submissions have been received, but they haven’t been opened yet. Lyons is returning from vacation and looks to be back in the office Wednesday. He said he will look into the submissions and take his time in considering them before reporting back to the city council.

Friday, September 16th, was the deadline for submissions.
