The road was not kind to the Central College women’s volleyball team in a 25-19, 25-12, 25-17 defeat at Nebraska Wesleyan University Tuesday night.
Central (3-8, 0-2 American Rivers Conference) had a .132 hitting percentage on the night while Nebraska Wesleyan (12-4, 2-0 conference) hit .307. Elyse Johnson and Natalie Gaszynski had seven kills apiece while Gracie Pierson had six. Gaszynski and Emma Wagler worked together on a pair of block assists. Amanda Smith had 16 assists and a pair of service aces. Gwen Kahlke also had two service aces. Libero Ivett Flores had eight digs.
The Dutch have three matches this weekend at the Millikin Invitational in Decatur, Illinois, starting with Fontbonne University (Mo.) Friday night at 7 p.m.
