The Knoxville Football Squad will celebrate the long week of homecoming with a game against Saydel tonight at Ken Locke Stadium. The Panthers and Eagles are both 0-5 on the season, but Saydel has struggled to get a lot going this season scoring just 14 points in five games. Coach Matt Dunkin and the rest of the coaching staff have been drilling into the guys that Friday night is the most important part of homecoming and walking out with a win is the goal.

Dunkin: “So just reminding them, all of the work they’ve put in. They can have fun this week and be involved in everything, but just keep in mind that Friday night is the important part of the week.”

This is one of the few series that Knoxville has an overall sizable lead in as the Panthers have won 15 of the 16 meetings including last season’s 24-14 victory at Saydel. Live coverage will start on 95.3 KNIA at 6:30, with the kick off at 7:30.
