Work on the Downtown Indianola Square Reconstruction Project continued over the past week. Sidewalk work continued on the mid-block of Ashland, with progress being made towards the completion of the paving of north and south curbs/gutters on Ashland between B Street and Buxton, and the intersection of Ashland and B Street. Permeable pavers and planter beds were installed, and the paving of the Ashland and Buxton intersection was completed.

Over the next week, the removal and installation of sidewalks mid-block of Ashland to the alley, and notices will be given to affected businesses one week prior to sidewalk closure, and the seed and grass plantings on Howard and southside of the mid-section of Ashland will begin.

Over the next month, work will continue on the removal and installation of sidewalks on Ashland between Buxton and B Street, and the installation of electrical, light poles, and signage will be completed.
