Girls Night Out is an event to honor women and bring awareness to cancer as well as other women’s health issues. The event is being put on by the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics.
Girls Night Out will be held Thursday, October 6th from 5 to 7 p.m. in downtown Knoxville. The event will be set up on Third Street between Robinson and Main and on Second Street between Main and Marion.
Kevin Stittsworth, Director of Knoxville Hospital and Clinics Foundation Public Relations Team tells KNIA/KRLS News about the event “This is a night of celebrating women and women’s health. So, it started about 15 years ago as a focus on breast cancer awareness because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It has expanded over the years so that we’re not only celebrating women, but overall women’s health.”
Over 30 vendors will be at the event and there will be food and music. Music will be provided by Brad and Kate.
