The final regular season meet was more of the same for the Pella Cross Country teams Monday, as the #2 in 3A boys and #1 in 3A girls won both varsity races at the Hillcrest Academy invitational.
Both Dutch teams placed their top five in the top ten of the field at a challenging course in rural Kalona, with Chase Lauman (16:31.44) and Marissa Ferebee (19:56.35) both winning meet medalist. Canaan Dunham (3rd – 16:37.23), Nathan Vander Waal (5th – 16:54.93), Zack Neumann (8th – 17:40.81), and Noah Schuknecht (9th – 17:42.61) rounded out the boys scoring, while the girls included Jacie Trine (4th – 20:54.46), Autumn Blink (5th – 20:56.64), Lizzie Neumann (6th – 21:34.58), and Sophia Boonstra (8th – 21:49.12).
Pella’s cross country teams join the rest of the Little Hawkeye Conference at the annual league meet on Monday, October 10th at Dallas Center-Grimes.
