The Pleasantville cross country teams ran at Nodaway Valley Monday night and the girls brought home a sixth-place finish with 154 points, while the boys finished in seventh place with a team score of 163.

Sophia Mason was the top runner for the Trojans’ girls in 24th place with a time of 25:02.26. The number two and three runners for the Pleasantville girls were Carly Gripp in 33rd place (25:33.35), and Kyleigh McConnell in 35th (26:04.87). For the Trojans’ boys team, Kurt Kuhnen was once again the top finisher in 12th place with a time of 19:39.02. Jenkin Fulmer was the second Pleasantville boys runner to cross the line in 27th place (21:06.70), while Cael Johnson rounded out the team’s top three in 49th place (22:52.03).

The Nodaway Valley Invitational marked the end of the regular season for the Pleasantville cross country teams, and they will next compete at the West Central Conference meet at Panorama on October 13th.

Meanwhile, the Trojans’ Volleyball team has their last regular season conference match of the fall hosting Earlham. Pleasantville is hoping to kick off the final week of their regular season by rewriting their history against the Cardinals. In the Varsity Bound era, Earlham holds a 14-3 advantage and have won the last four. Tonight’s volleyball match at Pleasantville High School begins at 6:15 p.m.
