The Norwalk cross country teams will compete at the state meet course today when they travel to Lakeside Municipal Golf Course for the Fort Dodge Invitational. The 30-team meet will begin at 4:00 p.m.

The Warrior boys, who are ranked second in Class 4A, will be seeking their fourth meet title of the season as they once again go head-to-head with top-ranked Dowling Catholic. This week’s Iowa Association of Track Coaches’ 4A individual rankings list Norwalk’s Donovan Card at 12th and teammate Noah Buhrow at 30th.

GIRLS SWIMMING

Also today, Norwalk’s girls swimmers will compete as part of the Des Moines Lincoln team as the Rails host Newton at 5:30 p.m.

FOOTBALL GAME CANCELED

The Norwalk football team will not be playing a varsity game this Friday after it was announced Wednesday morning that Perry has canceled the rest of its season. Norwalk will win by forfeit, improving to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in Class 4A, District 5. The Warriors return to action next Friday night at Carlisle.

The Perry at Norwalk freshmen game has been moved up to Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
