Scoop the Loop will be Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. Amy Vroegh is heading up the event. Vroegh says with the road diet the Scoop the Loop may be backed up, but says we just need to roll with the punches.

The route for Scoop the Loop will be on Highway 14 starting at the old Pamida Parking Lot, go by Pizza Hut, onto Larson St, then on Highway 14 to Pleasant Street and loop around the old Family Video building and back around on Pleasant to Highway 14.

Vroegh said the event is being put on to bring Knoxville together. The Knoxville Raceway is giving permission for those involved in scooping the loop to use the lot just north of the track as long as the trash is picked up. Brown’s Sanitation is donating some trash cans to make sure garbage is picked up.

Several food vendors will be at the event.
