Indianola City Manager Ben Reeves attended the International City Managers Association conference in Ohio last week, part of a continuing education course and training for city managers across the country. Reeves tells KNIA News he wanted to be able to take classes on issues that he will be facing in Indianola.
“Everything from designing new city facilities like our new city hall and public safety building and library, all of which is on the forefront. Also on community and economic development which we always want to make sure we are developing and growing our tax base and jobs. But also homelessness and how we can deal with some of the social issues that are facing many of the communities around the United States. So it was a great opportunity to learn and bring back to benefit our community.”
