Most of Marion and Warren Counties remain in severe drought, according to the National Drought Monitor, with areas near Pella and Lake Red Rock rated as moderate due to heavy rain that fell in September. Mainly dry conditions will persist into next week, with a brief cool down expected today and Saturday, before highs bounce back into the 70s well into the middle of next week.
