The Pella Christian football team had another short night at the office and in the process, clinched a playoff berth with a dominating 63-0 win over Cardinal, as heard live on the KRLS2 stream Friday night.
It started with a bang – Peyton Ritzert scored on the opening kick off, and the Eagles made it look easy as the continuous clock started rolling after the first play of the 2nd quarter as six different P.C. players found paydirt.
The Eagles held the Comets to just 10 first downs, and had 12 tackles for loss on defense. Pella Christian celebrated senior night as well, honoring their 16 members of the Class of ’23 after the game.
Moving to 6-1 overall and 3-1 in the district, Pella Christian can lock up a home playoff game with a win at Central Decatur next Friday.
