The Indianola boys golf team shot a two-day total of 616 at the Class 4A Boys State Golf Tournament Friday and Saturday, good enough for a fourth place finish. The Indians were led by Preston Bily who shot a 149 to finish in a tie for 10th, Jackson Overton finished in a tie for 17th with a 153, and Willie Nelson earned a tie for 28th with a 156. Bily tells KNIA Sports the Indians knew going into the district meet they would be able to compete amongst the best in the state, and qualifying to the meet proved it. The Indians graduate only two athletes from the squad, Bily and Overton.
