The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday. They had a discussion about the Board of Supervisor Compensation Board Appointments and got an update on the Marion County Public Health Department. Kim Dorn, Director of Marion County Public Health, reported to the board that her department dwindled to around 15 to 17 employees, and some of them are part-time. The board approved resolutions on the disbursement of funds for the American Rescue Plan Act , approved the allocation of LOSST Funds and the allocation of monies from the general fund for the Junction 92 development.
Discussion took place with Thrive about presenting Living Windows November 17th.Tyler Christian, representing Thrive, said on Friday, November 11th the courthouse lawn will be decorated for Christmas.
The board also discussed Timberview Urban Renewal Area (5 year extension) Agreement by and among the City of Pella, Pella Community School District and Marion County. There was also a discussion on the disposition of county property in the town of Hamilton. Both projects were approved.
