Habitat for Humanity of Marion County, Inc., is building a Knoxville family a new home construction project at 502 West Rock Island Street. Habitat for Humanity of Marion County has selected the next new homeowners Nikki and Kenndal Cunningham.

Groundbreaking ceremonies were held at the site of the new home Thursday, October 6th.It will be a fully handicapped home.

Robin Pfalzgraf, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity explained her thoughts on this project, “Oh, it’s exciting, we’re so excited every year for every family. This year we’re particularly excited. And this year we’ll have the high school kids from the Knoxville Building and Trades Class here four days a week working on this house.”

Pfalzgraf said they have put 60 plus families in homes in Marion County.
