The Pleasantville volleyball team travels to Des Moines Christian tonight to wrap up the first ever West Central Conference Tournament, while the cross country squads head to Panorama for the conference meet.

After sweeping their first two matches in the conference tournament on Tuesday, the Trojans volleyball team takes on the tourney’s top seed and Class 3A #1 ranked Des Moines Christian in the semifinals at 5 p.m. Pleasantville opened the season against the Lions and were swept in three sets 12-25, 17-25, 16-25. The winner of the match advances to play the winner of Van Meter and Woodward Granger at 8 p.m., while the two teams that fall will meet at 7 p.m.

While volleyball competes at Des Moines Christian, the Trojans cross country teams will be running in the West Central Conference meet at Panorama West Golf Course and Clubhouse. The conference meet is the last competition for the Trojans before the State Qualifier at Pekin one week from today. The West Central Conference Cross Country Meet begins today at 4:30 p.m.
