Katy Gottschalk, Health and Human Resource Director for American Home Finding Association (AHFA), said the transition of seeing clients in Knoxville is going well. The state of Iowa awarded several health related services to AHFA, that had previously been awarded  to Marion County Public Health.

AHFA is in Knoxville seeing clients two times per week. They are  currently located at the Iowa State Extension Office, and will be moving to their permanent location at the Knoxville Raceway Mall November 2nd.

Gottschalk explains how well everything is going in Knoxville in regard to seeing clients, “Yea, they have been really good. We were really busy yesterday I know. Really busy our first day as well. So, it’s going very well.”

Knoxville customers are seen in town eight times a month. The first and second week of the month they are seen Wednesday and Friday. The third and fourth Monday and Wednesday AHFA is also in Knoxville. The majority of the clients are seen through the WIC program.
