The Marching Band competition season comes to a close this weekend, and several local high school ensembles will give their final performances of the fall season.
The Pella Marching Dutch will host many schools from south central and southeast Iowa at the Iowa High School Music Association State Festival. For 45 consecutive years, Pella has received a Division I “superior” score, the highest possible mark.
Knoxville, PCM, and Pella Christian will also all come to the Pella High School site to perform. Click here for a full schedule.
The Marching Dutch will then finish the competitive season at the Mid Iowa Band Championship in Ankeny, competing among 19 other schools, and they are set to begin at 7:15 p.m. for gate and 7:30 for performance. A live stream will be available here.
The Pride of Indianola Marching Band heads to the Iowa High School Music Association state contest at Waukee.
