The Knoxville Football Squad knew it would have a tough task against the #3 ranked ADM Tigers, and the Panthers realized early on that it just was not their night, falling to ADM 56-3 heard live on 95.3 KNIA. The Panthers found themselves down 28-0 before they dented the scoreboard on a Luka DeJong 37 yard field goal in the 2nd quarter, but ADM would score two more times to invoke running clock for the remainder of the game to lead 42-3 at the halftime break. The Panthers also came into the game shorthanded as Brenden Woolsey made his first career varsity start in place of an injured Noah Keefer and handled himself well, throwing 13/25 for 115 yards and one interception. Coach Matt Dunkin told KNIA/KRLS Sports Woolsey’s play was encouraging knowing he starts for next week as well.

Dunkin: “Woolsey did a nice job stepping up and he had a pretty good game, I don’t know his stats for sure. Not starting in his career and coming in against one of the better teams in the state, I thought he did pretty well.”

The Panthers could never get the running game going with only 59 yards on the ground led by T.J. DeJong’s 42 yards on ten carries. Knoxville is now 1-7 and will travel to top ranked Harlan to end the season next week.
