Nominees to be the next Tulip Queen have been announced.
Voting ends on Tuesday to select the finalists who will perform at the 2023 Tulip Queen’s Announcement Party on Saturday, November 12th at 7 p.m. in the Pella High School Auditorium.
The only eligible ballots come from the Pella Town Crier published this week or the Pella Historical Society website — and each must be completed and signed by those casting it, the voter must be at least 17 years old and have a permanent mailing address in the borders of the Pella Community School District, and three nominees must be chosen. The deadline for voting is Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at Marion County Bank or 5 p.m. at Pella Historical Vermeer Mill, the Pella Hy-Vee or Pella Fareway — ballots must be dropped off at those locations.
The following high school seniors could be the next Tulip Queen or members of the Royal Court ahead of the 88th Tulip Time celebration in May (photo underneath the name, listed in alphabetical order by last name):
