The Indianola City Council meeting agenda included a discussion action item regarding Bird Scooters use in town and left on public sidewalks and streets, with a planned discussion on whether or not to continue their use in the city. City Manager Ben Reeves tells KNIA News Bird Scooters sent their intent regarding use in Indianola immediately before the meeting began.
‘The whole discussion was moot because Bird Scooters sent a letter indicating they wanted to withdraw their contract with the City of Indianola just minutes before the council meeting. So they exercised their right to discontinue the contract, which was going to expire on December 31st, now it expires on November 14th.”
