The Simpson women’s soccer team blew out the Prairie Wolves 7-0 in a late start Wednesday, while the men had a controversial ending in a 2-2 tie.
Cassie Nash scored just three minutes into the game to continue her rampage against conference opponents, earning another in the 12th minute and was joined by Hailey Kowzan as the Storm took a 3-0 lead at halftime. Jordyn Foelske added two more in the second half, as well as Anna Scott and Brooklyn Scanlon as the Storm rolled. They improve to 5-2 in the American Rivers Conference and 8-5-1 overall.

Neither team found the back of the net in the first half, but the Storm came out strong in the second half with goals from Roderick Orellana and Matt Hasken with just minutes to go, but Nebraska Wesleyan scored back-to-back goals after a pair of controversial penalties to earn the tie. The Storm men are now 3-1-3 in a crowded American Rivers Conference standings and 10-3-3 overall.
