Four different players threw touchdown passes for the Central College football team as the Dutch beat Simpson 49-17 Saturday afternoon in a game heard live on both 92.1 KRLS and 94.3 KNIA.
The Dutch racked up 680 yards of offense, throwing for 403 yards and rushing for 277. Junior wide receiver Logan Mont caught a 15-yard touchdown pass, ran one into the end zone from eight yards out, then threw a 10-yard TD pass to Ryan Neu.
Both Cooper Downs and Brady Ketchum threw a pair of touchdown passes for the Dutch and freshman Keegan Glover added his first collegiate touchdown toss. Neu and Carson Cummer each caught two scores.
For Simpson, Reed Worth caught five passes for 40 yards and scored both Storm touchdowns. Desmond Alexander had 26 carries for 104 yards.
Central improves to 5-2 on the season and 3-2 in the American Rivers Conference and will travel to Cedar Rapids next Saturday to play Coe. Simpson falls to 0-7 and 0-5 and will host Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday.
