The Knoxville VFW Auxiliary has been holding a coat drive for veterans. Coats will go to any veterans in need.

William Barnett, a member of the Knoxville VFW Auxiliary says he believes this is the first coat drive the group has held. Any coats left over will go to Des Moines veterans..

Barnett, a member of the VFW Auxiliary replied, “I’ve been here two years, it’s the first coat drive we’ve done and the turnout was just awesome. We have more coats than we know what to do with.”

Barnett said over 200 coats were donated for the cause this year.
