Several Pella Middle and High School Students were selected as part of the OPUS Honor Choir. Close to 3,000 students auditioned across the state for this recognition, according to Pella Middle School Choral Director Joe Tangen. This year, there were 11 students selected that will represent Pella Middle School:

Opus is an honor choir opportunity for students in grades 5-9, sponsored by the Iowa Choral Directors Association. Four choirs of 180 voices each will be chosen for this event.
Students who are accepted will learn additional music for the performance and will attend the festival on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Iowa State University in Ames.
