The Simpson football team returns to Buxton Stadium today for an American Rivers Conference matchup with the Prairie Wolves of Nebraska Wesleyan. Both the Storm and Prairie Wolves are looking for their first win of the conference season, with both teams giving up over 50 points per game in the conference season and scoring under 18 in the competitive conference. Simpson head coach Matt Jeter tells KNIA Sports it will come down to not making mistakes and winning the line of scrimmage.

“This game, at every level from pee wee football to the NFL, is won in the trenches. So if you are able to win the line of scrimmage you can win some football games. I thought we’ve been able to see some positives with that and we have two really good tailbacks.”

The game can be heard live on 94.3 KNIA with Andrew Swadner and Rick Wilson on the play-by-play. Pregame coverage begins at 12:35, with kickoff scheduled for 1pm.
