The Indianola City Council meets in regular and a study session Monday. The council will first meet in a study session, receiving the Veteran’s Memorial Aquatic Center Annual Report, the Indianola Public Library’s Annual Report, and discuss the Indianola downtown square.
After the study session concludes, the council will revisit an ordinance regarding the use of fireworks within city limits, after not approving the outright ban that was before the council at their previous meeting. The council will consider an appointment to the Indianola Public Arts Commission, give direction on the sidewalks on the Hillcrest Reconstruction Project, and consider a special event application for Home for the Holidays event on the downtown square, the purchase of a K9 patrol vehicle for the Indianola Police Department, and approval of a memorandum of understanding for the Greater Des Moines Fair Play Agreement.
The meeting begins at 6pm in the city council chambers at Indianola City Hall.
