The Knoxville Hy-Vee Food Store is sponsoring a Veterans Day Breakfast Friday from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the National Guard Armory.

The breakfast is for veterans and their families. The meal will be catered by Hy-Vee. In addition to the meal Hy-Vee will be offering veterans 15% off groceries Friday.

Knoxville Hy-Vee Store Manager Levi Martley tells KNIA/KRLS News what Veterans Day means, “What this is for us as Hy-Vee is to give back to those who are so willing to put their lives on the line. And we feel this is just a great way to show our appreciation.”

The breakfast consists of biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage link and coffee, orange juice or milk. 

Martley adds that every Hy-Vee, company wide, will honor the veterans Friday with a breakfast and 15% off groceries that day.
