The All-District teams for Class 1A District 6 have been announced and Pella Christian and Pleasantville had a combined 32 athletes received recognition. (20 from Pella Christian and 12 from Pleasantville)

Pella Christian senior quarterback Isaac Kacmarynski was chosen as the district’s Offensive MVP this season, while Pleasantville Senior Running Back Dillon Ammons received the Gold Award.

The Eagles had ten players selected to the All-District First Team. On Offense, running back Benny Schirz, tight end Trevor Veenstra (unanimous selection), and offensive linemen Tobey Steen and Owen Menninga were First-Team selections. Pella Christian had five First-Team defensive players which included defensive linemen Drew Van Kooten (unanimous selection) and Austin Van Soelen, linebackers Peyton Ritzert and Josiah Diehl, and defensive back Collin Vander Wal. The Eagles also had two special teams First Team honorees in kicker Jack Fancher (unanimous selection) and returner Peyton Ritzert.

Pella Christian’s five Second-Team selections were offensive linemen Colton Vos, Mitchell Van Zee, and Eliot Menninga, tight end Isaiah Breems, and linebacker Cooper Spronk.

The Honorable Mentions for the Eagles included: defensive back Jack Fancher and Trevan Parker and defensive lineman Spencer Ver Ploeg.

Pleasantville had four athletes selected to the All-District First-Team. On offense, quarterback Parker Sheets and utility player Jonah Schumacher were selected, while defensive back Caleb Cook and defensive end Dayson Leerhoff (unanimous selection) were First-Team Defense. 

The Trojans’ Second Team Selections were offensive linemen Alex Swanson and Ross Stephens, defensive lineman Jury Ellis, and utility player Yusef Gulley.  

The three Honorable Mentions for Pleasantville included: linebackers Carter Bingham and Carter Metcalf, and defensive back Trent Jolly.
