Marion County 8 Man football squads got several players on All-District Seven. Six Twin Cedars football players earned 1st, 2nd or honorable mention. On the 1st team was Nate Curry and Kasey Clark. Curry led the Sabers in rushing with 400 yards and was the leading receiver with 476 yards…he also had a team leading 59 tackles with 11 for loss. Clark played quarterback at times for Twin Cedars going 18/30 for 210 yards and three touchdowns and was 2nd on the team in receiving with 371 yards and four touchdowns. On the 2nd team was Dallas Smith, who as a sophomore passed for 1,302 yards and 11 touchdowns. Also getting 2nd team was Brendan Connett, who was 2nd on the team in rushing with 129 yards. Earning honorable mention was Noah Fee and Nathan Newman. Five Melcher-Dallas Football players earned 1st and 2nd team all-Eight Man District seven. On the first team was Logan Godfrey and Lucas Harrington. Godfrey was the Saints do-everything player rushing for 1,260 yards and 19 touchdowns he was the Saints leading receiver with 308 yards and he also was quarterback from time-to-time going 10/41 for 227 yards and three scores, plus had six interceptions on defense Most of Harrington’s damage was done on defense as he had a team leading 78 tackles, 16 for loss and five sacks he also recovered two fumbles. Making 2nd team was Max Enfield who had 32 tackles on the season Braydon Draeger, who had 40 tackles, and Kael Caikoski who had 35 tackles. Earning honorable mention was Ryan Heaton and Johnny Milburn. The Saints finished with a 3-6. Twin Cedars finished with a 2-8 record.
