A Pella High School graduate won a national championship in animal showing. Ella Jahner won first place for Slick Sheared Dorset Ram at the North American International Livestock Exposition Junior Show held recently in Louisville, Kentucky.

Ella served as Marion County Fair Queen in 2021 following graduation from Pella, where she was a member of Pella Forte, Marching Dutch, FFA, and Girls Golf. Jahner currently studies at the University of Northern Iowa and was an assistant coach for the Marching Dutch Color Guard this past fall.
